The Tamarind Story

I met a Tamarind tree today and we suddenly started talking about the bad economy around. Jumping from the state of affairs in Srilanka to Russia. We later jumped to poverty and economical crisis at the community levels in India. I was actually amazed to hear what Tamarind shared; it all came with a lot of depth and understanding of the financial structures at a micro level.

Curiously I just asked "How come you equipped with such details of the community affairs?"

And he calmly mentioned " I never intended to acquire this knowledge and neither did I attempt to; it's just a matter of my existence in this space and the growth around that made me hear all this and I got interested".

"Interested, how?" I SAID.

"So it's just that I have this aura around me that people gather and talk. They get this pleasure under my shade and trust me I am not even an iota proud of that. Its just that I grow and I like them coming. I expanded for that in all possible directions; umm like you say expanding my horizon of network to get attention. They would just read newspapers, bargain with the autos, sell stuff and sometimes exhibit emotions I am new to. So I started wondering and investigating that what value money holds in the human life".

"Ahem; sounds like a curious researcher" I smiled.

"Hahahah. What got me amazed is that money crashed things up for a lot many. I am glad that a dozen vendors have flourished under my shade and a couple thousand visit me with different faces, emotions and ideas. All I am curious now is that shall I also start charging a couple of pennies for services I offer?"

"Financial literacy ahaaa. And where will the funds go?" I enquired.

"That I haven't thought of yet; maybe to Climate fund" He added.

And then an auto arrived and I bargained for the fare. Couldn't settle for any less though. The tree from behind shouted, " Get bargaining classes from someone idiot; a penny saved is a penny earned."

I laughed all way long.
